“You get ready for 3 hours and the groom shows up wearing Crocs,” said an anonymous guest, along with a photo posted to the Reddit thread “Wedding Shaming.”
Many were surprised by the groom's choice of shoes.
However, many speculated that the Crocs were an “inside joke” or that the groom had been having foot problems or shoe troubles right before the ceremony.
“I hope that's their inside joke and she's wearing Crocs too? I can't tell because I can't see her feet,” said one person.
Another person explained: Maybe it's a joke between the couple, or maybe he has a problem with his feet. Or maybe there was a problem or something with his dress shoes. I don't think it's that big of a problem in this case. ”
One person suggested: “No, this is an inside joke. I'd like to see her shoes, but I'm thinking white Crocs.” Or does she have a foot condition? ”
Another added: “Plot twist: She's probably wearing white Crocs, too. I mean, if you're both prepared to stand all day until your feet swell, you might be comfortable.”
Some thought Crocs were a reasonable choice for a wedding.
“I wish I had worn Crocs on my wedding day (laughs). My feet were so sore. Honestly, the suit is nice, the Crocs are black. I don't think I noticed, to be honest.” , one person said.
Another said: “We were getting married on the beach, so wearing heels with sandy feet at the reception didn't seem very appealing. Flip-flops were the answer, but Crocs too.'' It wasn't a bad choice.”
“Unusual shoes”
On the other hand, many shared funny wedding stories about unusual shoe choices.
“My brother and sister-in-law wore Crocs to their wedding as a joke within the family. I know the point of this thread is to embarrass the wedding, but this The thread is a bit noisy,” one person said.
Another said: “My fiance and I are getting married in November. He wears Vans and I wear high-top Converse. We wanted to be comfortable. My aunt too. I have pretty blue flowers and our wedding date embroidered on my shoes.”
One person revealed: He said, “I was wearing flip-flops under my dress. I hate heels.”
Meanwhile, one bride shared “everything that went wrong” on her wedding day.
“My husband had part of his suit missing, the cake was wrong, the host didn't show up, so I had to ask the coordinator to step in…I could go on But the only thing that mattered was that I was “marrying my best friend,'' she said.
“My shoes got wet so I had to wear slippers at the reception.”
