Folks, Georgia football is doing it again.
What am I talking about? With the Bulldogs acquiring all the top players for the cycle and loading up on top talent, it will be nearly impossible for the rest of college football to catch up.
On paper, Georgia has the most talented players in the country and will likely continue to do so as long as Kirby Smart is at the helm. The Bulldogs have always had top recruiting classes, finishing No. 1 in the class in 2024, and it looks like 2025 will be the same.
On Wednesday, coach Steve Wiltfong gave Georgia the crystal ball to acquire the nation's No. 1 defensive lineman, Elijah Griffin. This is a big prediction, as Wiltfong is arguably the most proactive person in the industry.
Griffin currently has two crystal balls to land in Georgia, which isn't all that surprising given the fact that he's from Savannah, Georgia. Also, what elite defensive lineman in the high school ranks wouldn't want to play for the Bulldogs? Georgia seems to bring several defenders to the NFL each year. Georgia is a factory for NFL defenders.
And since Griffin already has that slot (6-foot-5, 285 pounds) and basically every major program wants him, it probably won't be long before Griffin hits the league. .
Griffin is ranked No. 3 overall recruit and No. 1 among defensive linemen in the 2025 class. Georgia's biggest competition here may be South Carolina, but this is starting to feel like it's over.
