In a heartwarming initiative, the shelter will host a speed dating event where animal lovers can find their perfect match in the form of a furry companion.
This event will be held on February 14, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at 2769 Conroy Road.
A new “speed dating” event will feature several dogs at the Orange County Animal Services shelter and allow people to match with a pet.

Those who wish to adopt a dog can take the dog home on the same day.
“We love making the most of events and holidays to help pets in shelters,” said Orange County Animal Services Manager Diane Summers. “We couldn’t ignore Valentine’s Day as an opportunity to encourage people to unleash their love by adopting a rescue pet.”

February adoption fees will be waived for animals designated as “ready.” This means the animal has been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Currently, 50 dogs are eligible for this promotion and are ready for adoption.
