It's been almost a year since Neymar Jr. left Paris Saint-Germain to pursue a career with Al Hilal. However, recent reports have shed light on the Brazilian's later years at the French club, which ultimately led to his departure.
Neymar enjoys his private time, but this can sometimes lead to criticism from experts and critics. However, in a conversation with L'Equipea former coach on Thomas Tuchel's staff spoke about the Brazilian's professionalism.
“I can definitely say that Neymar took care of his body,” the manager told French media. “He invested a lot of money and time in preparation with an osteopath who followed him every day and was in constant contact with the club.”
However, the coach believes there has been a noticeable change in Neymar once football resumed after the coronavirus pandemic. Nevertheless, the anonymous coach did not elaborate on the exact reasons that influenced the change in players.
“It's really painful because Ney was a great player when he came in,” the coach added. “But something has changed since COVID-19.”
There is also another issue with Neymar's poor treatment of Vicinha, which could be linked to this change. The report does not reveal why the Brazilian was hostile towards the Portuguese midfielder last season, but it sheds light on behind-the-scenes issues.
In other words, it feels as if the player is done being part of the team and needs a change of pace due to a lack of hunger.
