FLINT – Many of the Flint area girls basketball teams have faltered since the last power rankings.
Many teams only played one game last week, giving them plenty of time to prepare for the state tournament, which begins March 4.
That's not to say there haven't been big changes in the power rankings. Click here to see last week's rankings before seeing the latest rankings.
First, let's take a look at the teams on the rise.
goodrich
The Martians picked up two more wins as Goodrich defeated Ortonville-Brandon 73-29 and New Lothrop 57-33. But it's nothing new. The Martians have yet to lose in 18 games this season.
lake fenton
The Blue Devils have won six straight since defeating Owosso 72-36 in their only game last week. All eyes are now on Friday's showdown with Goodrich for the Metro League Stars division championship.
grand blanc
The Bobcats defeated Bay City Western 70-34 for their ninth straight win. Goodrich is the only Flint-area team with a longer winning streak.
genesee
The Wolves extended their winning streak to eight by defeating International Academy 55-38 and Morris 58-57.
montrose
The Rams defeated Lakeville 45-31 in their only game last week, extending their winning streak to six.
