Introducing Flagler Humane Society's featured pets of the week: Lily, Cali, Creed, and Sheba.
One-year-old Lily was abandoned at a shelter with another dog last October. Lily is a loving and cuddly woman who loves having lots of pets and having her belly rubbed. She also enjoys playing outside and sunbathing. Lily is a volunteer and staff favorite. She gets along well with other dogs and children, and is house trained.
Cali, 3, was surrendered in September after she didn't get along with her previous dogs. However, while she is at the shelter, she has been tested in a playgroup with other dogs and is doing well. Carly is a kind woman with a calm demeanor who takes care of the house and listens well.
Two-year-old Creed was surrendered in October after his previous owner was struggling with financial problems and didn't have enough time for him. Creed is an active and affectionate man who loves to hang out and ride in cars. Creeds are home-trained and do best with owners who are attentive and active.
One-year-old Sheba was delivered to a shelter in July 2023. Shiva is an intelligent and loving girl, she is home-educated and knows her basic commands. Although she is good with other dogs, she is cat-tested and she would not do well in a household with cats.
Flagler Humane Society is open at 1 Shelter Drive in Palm Coast from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Adoption fees vary depending on the animal, and the shelter accepts both dogs and cats for adoption.
Anyone interested in adopting or who has questions about the process can contact the Flagler Humane Society at 386-445-1814 or apply online at flaglerhumanesociety.org.
