JEFFERSON COUNTY, ID (KIFI) – A fire at the Marquette Lake Wildlife Management Area near Roberts is now fully contained.
More than 100 acres of land was burned, according to Roberts Fire Department Chief Jerry VanLeven.
The fire broke out after it got out of control due to strong winds.
No injuries were reported as a result of this fire.
Workers will continue to monitor the field tonight and conduct spot checks in the surrounding area.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, ID (KIFI) – Two different fires broke out in Roberts on Saturday.
One of those fires is a wildfire that started in a field near 2850 Northeast near the Market Lake Wildlife Management Area. The fire started as a controlled fire by farmers, but eventually got out of control due to strong winds.
The other fire was a structure fire near 2884 E. North in Roberts, where the fire started in a garage and the cost of the burn is unknown at this time.
At this time, the Bureau of Land Management is leading management activities on the Market Lake WMA.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, ID (KIFI) – Multiple fires are burning in Jefferson County, according to the Central Fire Department.
Fire Chief Karl Anderson said two separate fires were involved, including a structure fire near 2884 Northeast Ave. in Roberts.
The other animal is reported to be in a field on BLM territory near Lilly, 2850 E. East in the Market Lake Wildlife Management Area.
