CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Springfield police, in conjunction with Chicopee and state police, arrested Dana Dudley on Tuesday afternoon in connection with the March 11 shooting at Science and Technology High School.
Springfield police detectives secured an arrest warrant for a 45-year-old man. dana dudley A firearm was fired inside the school, causing a disturbance, but no one was seriously injured.
The investigation revealed that Dana Dudley, along with Chants Dudley, Josiah Livingston, and a girl, attempted to enter the school after being asked to leave by a teacher. During the altercation, one of the suspects brandished a gun and a disturbance broke out.
Springfield police spokesman Ryan Walsh said Dana Dudley was restrained by school staff, who also took away a knife he was allegedly carrying. After the shooting, Dana Dudley fled in her car with Chants Dudley and the juvenile female.
Dana Dudley was arrested and charged by the Springfield Police Department on Tuesday, March 19th, and is scheduled to be arraigned in Springfield District Court on Wednesday, March 20th.
He is charged with:
- Carrying dangerous weapons on school grounds
- Armed incursions and daytime incursions against felons are terrifying.

According to Springfield police, Chantz-Dudley allegedly forced his way into the high school with a gun. Dudley allegedly used the gun to hit the victim in the head and fired one shot through the window.
If Chants Dudley is discovered, he will be charged with the following crimes:
- Discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building.
- Assault and shelling with dangerous weapons
- Malicious destruction of property over $1,200
- Bringing firearms into school
- Possession of a firearm without a permit
- Carrying a loaded firearm without a permit
- Armed intrusions and daytime intrusions against felons leave people in fear.
