Educause, a nonprofit organization focused on advancing the use of technology and data to support higher education, announced Friday that it has appointed Sharon Pitt, chief information officer at Virginia Tech, as chair of its board of directors.
Mr. Pitt will join the board of directors at the same time he officially joins Virginia Tech's administration. The university appointed her director of information technology operations in late November.
