Edelman, the global communications company, has appointed Jenny Mercer as head of UK healthcare marketing. This appointment follows several key senior hires in the past year and reflects the diversification and growth of Edelman's healthcare delivery.
Jenni has over 20 years of integrated healthcare marketing experience across APAC, EMEA and UK markets. She previously worked at IPG as General Manager for her MENA in Dubai, and then based in London, she worked as Director of the Global Business for GSK and AbbVie brands, integrating agency teams in sales activities, The focus was on building new revenue streams and onboarding new customers. Throughout her career, Jenny has developed successful long-term relationships with her clients in addition to developing new business.
Jenny's hire reflects Edelman's commitment to strengthen its healthcare marketing offering, following the recent appointment of Nils Giese as Head of Healthcare Marketing for EMEA. Jenny will work closely with Nils to lead the health of local markets across the region. She will also partner with London Health Managing Director Eleanor Reid to expand Edelman's services to customers within the health ecosystem.

Edelman's Healthcare Division continues to experience rapid growth. Over the past three years, Edelman Health's business within EMEA has grown by 44% with new appointments for existing customers and the addition of new customers across all markets within the region.
