The University of Oklahoma has consecutive top-10 classes in coach Brent Venables' On3 Industry Football Team Recruiting Rankings. The Sooners, who finished ninth in 2024, are aiming for the top of this cycle, guided by a bumper crop within their state. Six of the Sooner State's top 10 players are already at OU.
Venables is looking to secure at least three more people from that list, and is also looking to attract top talent in neighboring Texas. Early in the cycle, the Sooners tend to target several key targets for his On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). The outline is as follows.

The Skinny: Programs across the country are eyeing a five-star linebacker. Jonah Williams, But it's the Sooners who are setting the pace right now. Williams returned to Norman at the end of January, and OU began attracting potential picks, including On3 national recruiting analyst Sam Spiegelman.
