NASHVILLE, Tenn. (September 29) The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District and community partners will host the Annual Acquisition Opportunities Conference/Small Business Industry Day. Wednesday, March 6, 2024, 7:30 a.m. to p.m. to 3 p.m. at Avon Williams) on the campus of Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee.
This event supports 8(a) small businesses, Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSBs), Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs), Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Businesses (EDWOSBs), and Women-Owned Small Businesses (EDWOSBs). Businesses (WOSBs) and other companies (large corporations, non-SMEs, non-profits, etc.) interested in connecting with small businesses for subcontracting/joint venture opportunities. Additionally, it provides outreach to local industry partners to enhance competition, build relationships, and foster understanding of the Nashville area's mission requirements and contractor capabilities.

The District of Nashville has overall responsibility for the operation and maintenance of multipurpose civil engineering projects, regulatory functions, and emergency management activities. The project consists of his 10 dams, 9 hydropower plants, 4 navigation projects, and 10 lakes in the Cumberland River Basin. We will continue our partnership with the Tennessee Valley Authority on his 10 navigation projects in the Tennessee River Basin. The regulatory program addresses the development of aquatic resources and wetlands while enabling rational development through fair, flexible, and balanced permitting decisions. Emergency management activities include emergency planning and operations for natural disasters, national emergencies, and mobilizations.
The Small Business Administration is a subsidiary of the local Society of Military Engineers (SAME), the Tennessee Small Business Development Center (TSBDC), the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), the Tennessee APEX Accelerator (officially PTAC), and the Small Business Administration (SBA ) and other agencies help companies navigate federal contract waters.
The Procurement Opportunities Conference Day Forum primarily focuses on training and business opportunities, tips for small business success, unique requirements and qualifications needed for complex projects, and a variety of topics that raise contractor awareness about government and industry networking opportunities. Focus on presentations by representatives. And build meaningful partnerships. The forum also addresses customer perceptions and experiences working with small and medium-sized businesses, based on customer reviews and feedback, and provides feedback from federal contracting professionals regarding a company's ability to meet specific requirements within specific areas of the acquisition environment.
