It's an invention that puts a cat inside a pigeon and makes the pigeon live to tell the story.
Designers have created a collar that works when a cat tries to pounce, quickly alerting prey.
Philip Yorke claims his collars could save the lives of 55 million birds killed by 11 million cats in the UK each year.

The 82-year-old said she first got the idea when she saw Maggie, her Bengal cat, come in with a dead sparrow in her mouth at a local pub.
He noticed that when cats hunt, they crouch in a “stealth attack mode” where they move their hind legs from side to side to get as low as possible.
His collar uses a small motion sensor that recognizes when a cat is exhibiting this type of hunting behavior, and emits a blackbird or hawk warning call via a small amplifier to alert the intended victim. scare people.

York said: “Until now, cat owners have been forced to use bells and bibs when trying to stop their pets from killing birds. However, we have developed a new, unique and non-toxic product that prevents this behavior. There is a way.”
Maggie's owner, Brian Mullaney, 60, who ran the Railway Tavern in Dereham, Norfolk, said the collar may be the only thing stopping his pet from killing. Warn the birds before it's too late and run away.
“But Maggie is smart and has learned how to move stealthily without making a sound.”
Mr York and Birdsonic are currently looking for further investment in a collar that can be turned on and off when the cat passes through the cat flap.
