Kat Marie sometimes meets adult clients in private locations, where she swaddles children in baby blankets, fixes bowls of cereal, reads Saturday morning cartoons, and even changes diapers.
As a Denver-based lifestyle model, all your work is completed in one day, and building trust and confidence among your clients is essential. Without that, you wouldn't be paying Cat Marie for her attention as a caretaker of adult babies or her work satisfying other sexual fetishes.
But last year, a British scam website stole her photos from Instagram, leading to demands from scam victims to repay the money they lost and threats to reveal her legal name and address. A series of problems were caused.
Cat Marie is currently suing to protect her name, image and likeness, an unusual move. That's because lifestyle models and their clients are often reluctant to talk about the world they play in, which is considered taboo by others. This case provides a rare glimpse into a secret world where privacy is of the utmost importance, and when privacy is violated, reputations are damaged, families are harmed, money is stolen, and so on. Physical violence may occur.
Cat Marie is an online persona recognized by clients who pay for photos, online conversations, and in-person sessions that satisfy a variety of fetishes, including kicking men in the genitals. She filed the lawsuit in federal court as Jane Doe, and the Denver Post agreed not to publish her legal name, citing threats of harassment.
“For years, I've built a business around my likeness,” Kat Marie said in an interview with the Post. “And having a fraudulent company represent me is very detrimental to my operation, because if I am involved in this fraud, people will not take me as seriously. There have been many instances where images have been used by other people to scam people out of money and then I'm told, 'Well, Cat Marie is a scammer,' even though they never told me.”
For Kat Marie, another website that uses her image to promote her business, fraudulent or not, is a second-hand website that uses a photo of Russell Wilson in a Denver Broncos uniform to sell lemons. It's no different than a car dealership.
Last fall, she filed a lawsuit in federal district court in Colorado seeking unspecified damages against the two companies, alleging they used her photo without her permission and accepted payments from people she never received services from. .
Kat Marie told the Post that she is well known and trusted in the adult baby and diaper enthusiast community and has customers throughout the United States and internationally. It took her years to build her reputation, but she succeeded and made enough money to build a house in Denver, pay her personal assistant, and hire a lawyer. Masu.
According to Rhoda Lipscomb, a Castle Rock-based sex therapist, adult baby and diaper lovers are people who find emotional comfort and sexual pleasure in acting like little children, which is why One Piece She reportedly sleeps in a diaper, sucks on a pacifier, and wears an adult-sized diaper with a cute motif. He calls himself the “Diaper Doctor.”
In Lipscomb's experience, people who participate in this lifestyle don't necessarily grow up with childhood trauma. They are not pedophiles, she says, but also adults who derive pleasure from other adults.
“Some of them are in crisis simply because they have parts of themselves that are much younger than their adult selves, and being able to express that balances them out and makes them feel more authentic and whole.” “You can feel it,” Lipscomb said.
Most people who participate in this lifestyle want to keep it secret because others won't understand, she said. People are losing their careers and families because of it, she added.
“When people hear about it, it's very sensational,” Lipscomb said. “This is very difficult to explain to a lot of people in general. They jump to conclusions and stop listening. People who prey on others are aware of this. They think that this is what people We understand that it can damage your reputation.”
And Cat Marie believes that vulnerability is what scammers targeted.
In one lawsuit, Kat Marie accuses Mark Anthony Young and Carol Aaliyah Muhammad of the United Kingdom of setting up a fake adult infant clinic called AB Elite Clinic. According to the complaint, the two advertised that they were building clinics in England and Ohio and used Kat Marie's photo without permission to represent the professional caregivers who would provide services through the clinics.
In the second lawsuit, Kat Marie claims that a website for the adult baby and diaper enthusiast community and its unidentified operator swiped her photo from her personal webpage and then posted an image of her adult baby. accused of using it to solicit payments from people who wanted to hire caregivers.
Both lawsuits accuse the defendants of misappropriation of their likenesses, obstruction of business, and infliction of emotional distress.
In early 2023, Cat Marie revealed that her photo was posted without her permission when a man asked her on social media why she hadn't provided him with the promised service after sending him thousands of dollars through CashApp. I learned that it is used in
She started researching online and discovered that Elite AB Clinic and another website were misusing her image.
Cat Marie spotted Young on social media, claiming he was building an adult daycare center, and sent her a message asking him to stop using her photo. He did so briefly, but resumed doing so in April, according to the complaint.
In May, Young sent direct messages on social media threatening to reveal her real name and address to right-wing websites and law enforcement, including copies of messages between the two, according to the complaint. It is said that it was
That could be dangerous, says Cassandra Kirsch, Kat Marie's attorney in Denver. She said there is an entire Reddit forum and her Twitch channel dedicated to exposing professional lifestyle models.
“From there, these individuals can literally take anything from the 'gifts' that show up on their doorstep (which, depending on the situation, could be unsolicited vandalism, such as dirty underwear, items soaked in bodily fluids, etc.)” “We have to deal with everything from the Twitch case to the streamers of people showing up outside their homes,” Kirsch said.
Young and his co-defendants have not responded to the lawsuit, even though Kirsch was able to serve the documents through the Hague Service Convention, an international treaty that allows lawyers to litigate cases overseas. Kirsch said Kat Marie is currently seeking a default judgment from the court.
Elite AB Clinic officials did not respond to The Post's inquiries on its website.
In the second lawsuit, Cat Marie said she was contacted by a man asking why he stole the money and learned her photo was being used by scammers. Her complaint said she paid $13,543 through the website after another man found her on social media and saw her photo in an ad for her adult baby services. That's what it means. When he asked for a refund, someone on the website threatened to post intimate images of him online and email them to his wife unless he paid $800.
However, Cat Marie never advertised on the website.
Cat Marie said she wants to sue to protect herself and other undeserving customers who have been scammed or had their money stolen.
“You can’t just take advantage of people on the internet and get away with it,” she said. “Eventually someone will stand up for them. I certainly couldn't be bothered and could have asked Twitter to remove my image and move on. But… There are too many people in the community seeking acceptance to continue to let scammers go on like this.”
