Bitfarms is looking for a CEO
Canadian Bitcoin mining company BitFarms plans to change its CEO, the company announced on Monday.
L. Jeffrey Morphy, BitFarms' current president and CEO, will leave the company upon completion of the company's board of directors' search for a CEO. Morphy joined BitFarms in August 2020 and became CEO in December 2022, following the resignation of co-founder Emiliano Grodzki from the top role.
BitFarms Chairman Nicholas Bonta said in a statement that BitFarms is “evolving to meet the needs of rapidly growing investor interest in Bitcoin and Bitcoin mining around the world.”
Under Morphy's leadership, Bitfarms' stock price has risen more than 130% over the past year, but it has fallen more than 20% in the last month following a broader decline in mining stocks.
