In public, the pair are said to be “truly inspirational”, but some people “stop and stare”.
George told PA Real Life:
“It doesn't stop me from going anywhere. We can't live in fear that something will happen every time we leave the house. I think that applies to life as a whole.”
“I look at life as if I were dropped here on a deserted island with no idea of what is considered normal…If you want to go barefoot, you should. There's a lot more to it.
“I am so lucky to have met Roseanne and to have made this happen with her. She is the love of my life.
“I don't think either of us are looking to quit this lifestyle.”
In October 2021, while on a walking holiday in Plymouth with his mother and grandfather, George decided to go barefoot to improve his mental health and hasn't looked back since.
George said: “I was looking for new experiences and was on a walking holiday. All I thought was, 'Why don't I experience the whole ground?' Why don't I want to go through it all?
“So I threw away all my shoes.
“My mother's family didn't really understand it. At first they didn't want to have anything to do with me for a long time because they thought I had lost my way, but that's not the case. did.”
Over time, George realized that going barefoot helped improve his mental health.
“My perspective has changed a lot. I now appreciate the little things…This journey has taught me that in order to get better at something, you need to experience discomfort. ” he said.
“In fact, it was one of the best things I've ever done. It was a way of self-discovery.”
George quickly realized he wanted to spread the word about the barefoot lifestyle, and in May 2022, he started posting videos on TikTok summarizing strangers' opinions about his lifestyle. Since then, George has gained more than 564,000 followers and some of her videos have reached millions of viewers. View.
“Strangers usually have one or the other attitude. Either they think it's great, or they're just against it and think it's really weird,” he said.
George was flooded with messages asking him to create an OnlyFans account for his dirty feet. So, looking for a way to make more money, he decided to give it a try.
He said: “My monthly income is the highest and his is between £500 and £1,000, so we are financially comfortable.
“I don't care what other people think or what they get from watching my videos, like foot fetish people, for example.
“To me, it's all art and creativity. And there are people who appreciate that creativity in every way imaginable.”
In 2023, George meets Roseanne and they both live barefoot.
He said: “We met when we were out filming…we were taking a break at a candy store and we were attracted to each other.
“She really liked that I didn’t wear shoes.
“It was like love at first sight. We basically had our first kiss before we could even say a word.
“After a few months, she stopped wearing shoes…I think for her it was about stepping outside of her comfort zone and it was also about bonding, because we were both in the same boat. Because I am.”
“I don't have a particular foot fetish, but I like feet.”
George explained what his reaction was when they were barefoot together. “Sometimes people come up to us and say, 'Wow, you guys are really inspiring,' or, 'What you guys are doing is so cool.'
“I think the fact that we're doing it as a couple makes it even more of a spectacle.
“People stop and look at us like, 'What the hell is going on?'”
However, couples sometimes face difficulties in public.
George said: “We went to Harry Potter World and weren't allowed in, so we had to create these characters together.
“We had to pretend we couldn't wear shoes for medical reasons…It seems to work when you pull a medical card…especially in restaurants and things like that.
“But there's some truth to this. A few years ago I started having seizures and fainting for a few minutes, but then I was fine.
“Once I stopped wearing shoes, I didn’t have any shoes, and I wasn’t diagnosed with anything.”
This experience also made George realize that he may have a sensory processing disorder.
He explained: “Roseanne has been diagnosed with autism and she feels that something common in autistic people is sensory processing disorder… so she doesn't feel very comfortable wearing her shoes. .
“I've been through something similar myself and it's really overwhelming. But I think the fact that I don't wear shoes anymore gives me purpose.”
As for how Roseanne feels about George posting on OnlyFans, he explained:
“But it's a moot point for us to do it together. It's a really, really good way to make money, but her family was very against her participating.
“So I drew the line and said I'm not going to involve her, but she'll help me take the pictures and she'll help me with the content.”
Looking to the future, George said: “My goal is to keep doing what I'm doing.
“My ultimate goal is to create a documentary for Netflix where I travel around the world with Barefoot Roseanne.”
