GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WOOD) – A couple who opened Ice Cream Boat last season are looking for someone to take over the business.
Megan Ward and her husband Isaiah Kinney founded Ice Cream Afloat last May. They visited various lakes in West Michigan to sell ice cream and posted their locations on Facebook daily. The couple played classic ice cream truck music and sold prepackaged items such as ice cream sandwiches and popsicles.
last summerThey told News 8 that people were excited about the ice cream boat.
“It's really nice to see everyone so happy to see us. It's the best thing to see everyone so happy to see us and bring a unique experience to people.” Ward previously said.
The couple moved to Michigan from West Virginia and opened Ice Cream Afloat soon after.Now they're starting to move again, they shared Facebook post on March 10th.
“It's sad to write this, but life has other plans,” he said in the post. “We are planning to relocate, but we are not taking over the business. We hope someone will take over and continue our mission of providing ice cream and happiness to Michigan boaters. ”
