Clarksville, Tennessee – Clarksville Online brings you weekly pets from rescue organizations in need of good homes in Clarksville-Montgomery County and surrounding areas. Pet of the Week is for the week of January 29, 2024.
Dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, and sizes are available through local animal shelters and animal shelters, as well as helping homeless animals through adoption programs and donations, as well as supporting fundraisers and other family-friendly activities. There are also opportunities to do so.

Montgomery County Animal Care and Control
Huckleberry is an adult male Great Pyrenees/St. Paul. Bernard mix. Huck is a big dog. He has been fully examined and will be neutered before heading to his new home. Sadly, he was found as a stray dog wandering around.
He is a very kind boy who loves playing outside. A large yard and lots of toys are ideal. Long walks and lots of adventures will make Huckleberry very happy. Crockett is an adult male domestic cat. He has been fully examined, potty trained, and neutered, so he can go home the same day. He will be a great companion.

Tropicana is an adorable female domestic shorthair/tabby mix cat. She is fully examined, spayed, and potty trained. She does well with dogs, cats, and children. She is very quiet and sweet-natured, does best in a quiet home, and loves attention.

Stewart County Cat Adoption Team (CATS)
Dakota is a 2 year old calico girl. She is fully vetted, spayed, potty trained, dewormed, and on flea medication and FeLV/FIV negative medication. This little bossy pant should be the only cat in the house, as he is very vocal and has a tendency to yell and shriek at other cats.

Stewart County Faithful Friends Animal Rescue
Freddy is a young male hound mix. They are neutered, fully tested, and their kennels are kept very clean. He is good with children, but he has a lot of energy so he can be tough on small children, but with supervision he should be fine and get along well with other dogs.
He loves active family members who take him hiking or jogging and help him burn off energy. A fenced yard is ideal, with lots of activities to keep him busy. Freddy is suitable for activities that involve agility or challenge.
This boy had so much to offer and was patiently waiting for a long time until he found his forever family. He needs a loving home and plenty of attention.

Middle Tennessee Pet Rescue
Loki is a very handsome 2 year old male German Shepherd. He is fully vetted, crate/house trained, and neutered. Loki has separation anxiety and must be kept in a kennel when left alone. He does best in a household where there is someone who can exercise several times a day. He needs a garden with a 6 foot privacy fence.
Although he gets along well with small children, he sometimes knocks them over because he is not aware of his strength or size. He gets along well with other dogs, but probably not cats. For Loki to truly shine, he needs a family willing to give him time, love, and patience.

Daisy is a cute 1 year old Yorkipoo. She is fully vetted, spayed and kennel trained. She loves playing with other puppies and dogs and gets along well with children. She potties when you let her outside, but while she is housetrained she uses a potty pad inside. She's a little shy at first, but once she warms up, she becomes a little love bug.

Hot Rod Garage Senior Sanctuary
Matt Dillion and Miss Kitty are a close-knit pair of beagles. Sadly, these two were probably highly bred and then dumped at a recycling station. Once rescued, they begin to warm up and become friendly, sweet, smart, funny, curious, and couch potatoes who live a safer life.
They have been fully examined and will be spayed/neutered next week. They get along well with other dogs and children, and seem to get along well with goats and chickens. These two need a loving home and family that will shower them with love and affection.

Andy is a young miniature pinscher/terrier mix. He is house/crate trained, fully vetted, and neutered. Andy loves to snuggle and loves to wear sweaters and jackets. He gets a little nervous when he meets new people, but he warms up quickly.
They also get along well with other dogs and cats. He does his best with children over 7 years old. Andy would be a wonderful addition to any family!
