Business leaders group Identity Clark County has appointed Lindsey Salvestrin of Columbia Credit Union to its board of directors.
Mr. Salvestrin joined Columbia Credit Union in 2000 and served in various key leadership positions before assuming the role of President and CEO in 2023. In her first year as CEO, she introduced innovative initiatives to address financial health, including a new overdraft kindness program and a partnership with the Vancouver Housing Authority to increase affordable housing stock. Salvestrin attended Hudson Bay High School and then earned a bachelor's degree from Western Washington University. She serves on the local government affairs committee for the credit union industry, is on the executive committee of the Columbia River Economic Development Council, and is an advisory board member for the Children's Credit Union, which supports Doernbecher Children's Hospital through the Children's Miracle Network.
Kevin Callahan has joined the Advisory Board of the Regional Agency on Aging and Disability of Southwest Washington.
Callaghan, a Vancouver-area resident since 2014, retired from a 37-year career in local government. His career includes 24 years in land use and transportation planning in two medium-sized cities in California and Utah, 12 years as public works director in Summit County, Utah; He served as an emergency manager for one year.
Callahan currently volunteers with the Community Emergency Response Team sponsored by the Clark Area Emergency Services Agency and the Master Gardener Program sponsored by Washington State University Clark County Extension. She holds a bachelor's degree in environmental planning from the University of California, Santa Cruz and a master's degree in public policy and administration from California State University, Long Beach.
