It's no secret that some celebrities are willing to do almost anything to stay relevant, but Charli XCX recently revealed that her team took the concept to a whole new (and uncomfortable) level. I made it clear that.
This week, the singer star posted a list of marketing concepts that were allegedly shared with her courtesy of the label. And guys…no amount of preparation can prepare you for the items on this list.
Sorry, but what about the list that starts with nipple piercings? Claire's Does it get weirder the more you read?
The list includes the standard tacky fanfare. For example, intentionally leaking a sex tape like Paris Hilton or intentionally getting arrested for shoplifting like Winona Ryder. It has a special note: “Place it carefully so that it can be stolen''. ” This is just a list of some patently absurd suggestions.
Charlie was vocally displeased with the obviously ridiculous list, posting it on both X and Instagram to share with fans, which unsurprisingly received some hilarious reactions.
Lo and behold, MTV's official account expressed genuine interest in the singer's potential selection.
Charlie then went a step further by inviting his famous friends to dramatically read out their account proposals.
This list should be taken with a complete grain of salt as it may be satire, but considering what Charlie himself went through; Admitted to “lie for fun” Regarding the various demands of her label in the past:
Either way, it's still far-fetched to think that some celebrities are regularly sent a list of similar PR stunts to try and succeed.
So, um, yeah…is that it? You can't know this now! But please tag yourself in the list. Just for the record, I'm clearly “in the middle of the tube, wearing a ballgown, having a mental breakdown and pouting.”
