I really don't mind this change in weather. I like it a little warmer and sunny, but it's technically still winter so I'm okay with having winter. It helps us all appreciate summer days.
we can't control the weather. We can control how we react to it. Enjoy the change and enjoy the Chamber of Commerce Days that come around this time of year. No need to water your new plants even if it rains. Even when it gets cold, there is no need to run the air conditioner.

The El Campo Branch Library has many events planned this spring.
On Friday, March 8th, Marilyn Haupt will present her butterfly program, “Creating a Butterfly Garden.” I will go to the library at 10am and she will be expanding on the original program she did last year.
Haupt recently expanded his butterfly garden. An avid gardener, she has great advice and ideas for everyone. Even if you missed her program last year, she's sure to have helpful ideas on how to attract these beautiful little winged creatures.

AARP Foundation Tax Assistants are once again helping people prepare their tax returns with ease. He does not need to be a member of AARP to seek AARP assistance. The library has contact information that people can use to set up an appointment. The library also has worksheets that patrons are asked to fill out. Stop by to get the information you need and get a little help with your tax return.

As spring approaches, everyone wants to pull out all dead growth from flower beds and pots and move on to bright, blooming plants. DSG nursery school will be coming to the library on Thursday, April 4th.

On a recent trip, I was surprised to see bluebonnets already decorating the median strip of Interstate 10. There weren't a lot of them yet, but they're definitely ready to welcome the world with their bright blue wavy blooms.
Make sure you keep your eyes on the road. However, have your travel partner look for bluebonnets, Indian paintbrush, and small buttercups that bloom prolifically.
