Little Rock-based mixed breed Molly From Corporate took home the top prize in a national whimsical pet name contest.
Nationwide Insurance runs this contest each year using the names of the 1.2 million animals in its pet insurance directory. The contest was then opened for public voting and ran from April 9th to 12th across dog, feline and exotic categories.
Winners Molly From Corporate, cat Tony “Scarface” Baloney and rabbit Thor Odinbun (God of Bandar) each received a professional photo shoot with their owners, a spokesperson said. , you will receive a gift card for a custom pet portrait.
According to contest officials, Molly's human, Tyler W., said the name came from a joke he and his wife had about how to get their dog the most attention at groomers and pet stores.
