Podcaster Bobby Althoff has responded to the viral deepfakes of her that have surfaced on social media, confirming that they are not real.
As more celebrities leak their private videos to the public, deepfakes are also on the rise.
Just a month after a Taylor Swift deepfake went viral on X, Bobby Althoff was targeted with an AI-generated video that sparked an online backlash.
The influencer started trending on X/Twitter the day after Althoff's clip started going viral. She ended the matter by directly responding to them and confirming many people's suspicions that they were fake.

In her Instagram post, Althoff mentioned deepfakes and how she is trending on social media.
“I'm sorry to disappoint you all, but it's not 100% me that's trending,” she said. “[It] It's definitely AI-generated. ”

Deepfakes are a huge problem on social media, with many influencers and even Twitch streamers having their faces shown in videos without their consent.
Earlier this month, an AI deepfake scammer impersonated a company's CFO during a business meeting and stole $26 million.

Microsoft also worked to combat deepfakes by closing a loophole in its Designer AI image generation app that allowed users to create content with slightly misspelled names and non-sexual descriptions.
So far, Althoff has not yet commented on the video or whether he will take legal action against the individual who made it.
