JACKSON, MI – Bo and Alora are just two of the many pets at Cascade Humane Society who are looking for loving forever homes.
Bo is a 5 month old puppy with very cute ears. He may have come to his CHS feeling a little apprehensive about new people and experiences, but has worked hard with the staff to build his confidence and social skills. As he warms up to you, you feel Beau lean into you and give you a sweet kiss.
CHS is looking for a special family for Beau. A family that continues to provide Bo with the positive social experiences he needs to thrive. He's already learned that treats and tummy rubs are the best rewards for being a good boy, and now all he needs to settle into his forever home is a comfortable bed and his own. There are only a few toys that can be called things.
Beau is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and has a microchip.
Looking for a furry friend to share your home with? Meet Alola, a charming 3-year-old kitten with a kind spirit.
Alora is a sweetheart and isn't shy about showing it. She loves rubbing your chin and cheeks, and her gentle purring will instantly melt your heart. Despite her initial wariness at the shelter, her CHS staff believes that for Alora to truly shine in a loving home, she will need just a little time and patience.
With experience living with cats, dogs, and older children, Alora is adaptable and ready to become a beloved member of your family. Imagine her curled up on your lap or playfully around her favorite toy. She will bring endless joy to your life.
Alora is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV and FeLV.
Beau and Arora would like you to know that you can sign up to have your pet professionally photographed to participate in the CHS Calendar Contest fundraiser.
For a sitting fee of just $10 per pet, Carrie Stadelman of Freeland Photography will capture your pet perfectly. Choose your favorite photo and enter it into the contest. The top 13 fundraisers (1 vote = $1) will be featured on her 2025 calendar. The photo session will be held from April 12th to 14th. We are now accepting registrations for the photo session. To learn more or register, visit www.chspets.org.
If you think Bo or Alora could be your next perfect furry family member (or member), come visit us! Cascades Humane Society, 1515 Carmen Drive, is open Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 6 p.m.
All dogs and cats at Cascade Humane Society are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and parasite-protected before adoption. Pet owners also receive free health exams from 24 local veterinarians.
Dog owners who wish to adopt another dog must meet with their own dog and the dog they choose to adopt.
CHS has added services to its spay/neuter assistance program. This service is available at the time of a scheduled spay or neuter and includes vaccines, heartworm testing for dogs, FIV and FeLV testing for cats, and dental procedures.
CHS also has a pet food pantry to assist families facing financial hardship. CHS accepts donations of cat or dog food as long as it is in its original packaging. Donors can drop off food by the pole barn at the back of the facility. The pet food pantry is open the first Saturday of each month from noon to 2 p.m.
