Blitz is available for adoption from Broken Tail Rescue at various locations including our headquarters in Worcester and Cambridge. (Broken tail rescue)
Say “Aloha” to Jawa, a gorgeous black cat who is only 5 years old and currently at Ahimsa Haven Animal Shelter. He is a “big boy” with elegant midnight black fur who is very sociable and enjoys the company of his humans. After living on the streets for a while, he's grateful to be indoors.
Java is definitely an unusual type. This kitten is laid-back and enjoys being with dogs. So if you have a pup who needs a feline friend, Java is the perfect choice. He has been diagnosed with FIV+ and will live a long and healthy life, but due to his condition, fees are waived, meaning he is a bargain for the right adopter.
Sterling Shelter will be holding an open house food and toilet drive at 273 Central St. on Sunday, February 11th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. When you adopt a pet from a shelter, you know you're getting a healthy pet.

Blitz at Broken Tail Rescue
“Blitz” means “lightning bolt,” and volunteers at Broken Tail Rescue say the 5-year-old, 55-pound working dog is “smart, food-obsessed, and loves fetch.” That's what it means. He is home trained, loves learning new tracks, and sleeps happily all night in his crate.
Nevertheless, this handsome brown and white boxer mix has been in shelters long enough to need a home with an active adult. Blitz will happily accompany you on your walks, runs, hikes, and car rides. However, he is cautious around new people and will need an adopter who understands that this is a puppy who needs space before greeting others.
His adoptive mother reported: I believe he would be the best dog on a farm where he is not forced to interact with strangers. I strongly believe that when he is off leash he will choose to avoid strangers rather than confront them.
