Each week, we spotlight animals looking for forever homes at local shelters.
This week's Big Country Pets of the Week is Hattie.
Hattie
Hattie is waiting to meet her new family at the Palouse Humane Society. Her holiday wish is to find a forever home. Hattie is a mixed breed, she is about 5 years old, short haired, medium sized, weighs about 36 pounds, and is spayed. Shelter staff describe him as energetic, loving, goofy, friendly, articulate, and excited.
Hattie I'm looking for a home without cats or small animals. However, she would like the dog to have a brother or sister in its new home. Hattie They get along well with other dogs, so it would probably be beneficial to have another puppy to keep them company. As with all dog adoptions, Hattie Before leaving HSoP, you must meet the dog in the house.
Hattie She originally came to HSoP as a very timid stray cat, but has made great strides in her time here. Hattie He now makes friends easily and is much calmer when away from the loud barking in the kennel. Hattie I love running! She seems to have baked tracks in her outdoor kennel and she loves when she gets a chance to run at full speed. She loves walks and our volunteers say she has excellent leash manners.
a challenge Hattie It's toilet training. I'm not sure if she has ever lived in one, but she has always had accidents in her kennel.proper owner Hattie I am willing to be patient and understand this challenge and do whatever it takes to help her learn. Hattie She loves spending time with her companions and is happy to accompany them on outdoor adventures. She is very affectionate and can be very cuddly when not draining her energy.
