JACKSON, MI — The Jackson County Animal Shelter, located at 3770 Spring Arbor Road, has many pets available for adoption.
Here we will introduce two of them.
Bubba Jay is a 2 year old black American Staffordshire mix with white markings. Baba was with her foster mother and had many wonderful things to say about him.
They said he is housetrained, knows some basic commands, and likes to be walked on a leash. He likes having people close and will actually touch you and hug you.
Baba responds very well to compliments and loves kisses. He likes running and playing ball.
Hope hopes her next home will be her forever home. She is a 5-year-old female cat, mostly black with white markings, and was surrendered to her owner.
She is a little timid in a shelter with lots of noises, smells, and people for the first time. However, if you are patient with her, she will warm up to you. And check out her beautiful eyes. It is large and golden like the moon.
An online application is required to adopt a dog. Meeting the dog is also a must. You can use a cat room walkthrough to test your reactions. Dog adoption fees are $150 for medium and large dogs and $250 for puppies and small dogs, and include vaccinations, microchip and neutering.
Cat adoption fees are $60 for one cat or $80 for two cats and include applicable exams, vaccinations, and spay/neuter.
