These AWS job cuts primarily impact training, certifications, and sales personnel, AWS confirmed to CRN. The $97 billion Seattle-based company said the job cuts were necessary to “streamline” some business units while shifting efforts to more “key strategic areas.”

AWS is moving toward more digital training and training programs run by external partners, with a new focus on self-service training.
