Franklin (Mich.) Wiley Groves 4-star offensive lineman avery gatch He has been one of Michigan's top offensive line targets in the 2025 class for a while, and that has only become more the case since Sherrone Moore took over as the Wolverines' head coach.
The in-state standout has visited Ann Arbor more than a dozen times, and the proximity to home and the development of Michigan's offensive line are big factors for him.
The Wolverines are considered one of his top schools, competing against Michigan State, Ohio State, Notre Dame and many others.
However, the Wolverines appear to hold onto the top spot heading into mid-April. On Monday, On3's Steve Wiltfong recorded his nomination in favor of UM in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).
“Gach is expected for the University of Michigan's spring game, and the Wolverines are trending even after recent trips to Michigan State and Ohio State,” he wrote in explaining his pick. “Mr. Gach's recruitment may end soon. Sherone Moore has been the lead recruiter since the beginning, and Gach has been to Ann Arbor many times.”
Michigan currently has a 93.1 percent chance of fulfilling his commitment, according to RPM.
No commitments yet scheduled for Gach
Gatti has not yet set a date for announcing a verbal commitment, but plans remain to end the recruitment once the official visit is complete.
“The biggest thing for me is the school that allows me to grow. Once I get there, I want to play as soon as possible,” Gatti told TheWolverine.com's Zach Libby earlier this month. “So if I didn't play soccer at school, would I really want to attend there as a student?” That's a big thing for me. It's a place with a great culture and a comfortable coaching staff. It's a place where all my friends and family can watch all my home games and come to all my games. ”
Michigan has checked each of those boxes under both Jim Harbaugh and now Moore.
“All my visits there are consistent,” Gatti told Libby. “They are consistent in their attention to detail and presentation to me, making me feel right at home and giving me priority. That's huge. I really like it. “
