Robert Glassford of Las Vegas, Nevada has dual degrees in Police Science and Criminal Justice. The author began his law enforcement career as a forestry technician with law enforcement responsibilities at the U.S. Forest Service. During his stay, he wrote numerous guides on recreational opportunities that provide free information on hiking trails, covered bridges, waterfalls, and other interesting information to tourists visiting the White Mountain National Forest.
Glassford writes: “These stories began when I was very young, probably as young as you. My parents' home was in a small country town, and there was a large forest behind the house. We have raised many animals, including rabbits, chickens, pheasants, dogs, cats, and even goats.
“My environment probably fostered my love and respect for nature, the forest, and the animals that live there. And as an adult, it started when I moved from Massachusetts to the White Mountains of New Hampshire, where I lived. It had something to do with becoming a forest ranger. But it was in this rural town in Massachusetts, when I was still a child, that these short stories about our family pets begin.”
Robert Glassford's Charming Stories, published by Page Publishing, is the author's third book about some of the animal stories he used to tell to his children. From how to raise a baby squirrel to chickens watching TV to even a kind-hearted cat, the author hopes readers of all ages will enjoy these short stories and colorful artwork and laugh a little while reading. I hope.
Readers who want to experience this fascinating work can purchase “Meet My Pets: More Animal Stories” at bookstores nationwide or online at the Apple iTunes Store, Amazon, Google Play, or Barnes and Noble.
