Soliciting officer to resist: 10:32 a.m., at San Tomas Expressway and Highway 17. The man was panhandling within 500 feet of a freeway exit ramp. During the encounter, he threatened to kill the police officer.
Retail theft: Occurred in the 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue at 7:56 p.m. Two suspects entered the store and stole approximately $450 worth of merchandise.
March 12th
Petit theft: 5:15 p.m., 1500 block of Campbell Avenue. Someone came into the store and stole cigarettes.
Robbery: At 3:08 p.m., in the 900 block of West Hamilton Avenue. Three masked men destroyed a display case and stole a wallet.
Battery: 900 block of Ravenscourt Avenue, 10:45 p.m. The suspect threw something at the victim, hitting him in the face.
Disorderly conduct, vandalism: 9:57 p.m., 00 block of West Hamilton Avenue. The man tried to fight, caused a disturbance and threw items into the store. He broke a store window, causing more than $400 in damage. It was determined that he was under the influence of alcohol and was unable to protect himself or others.
Petit theft: Occurred in the 1600 block of South Bascom Avenue at 7:10 p.m. Someone stole the back tire and seat of my bicycle.
DUI, possession of controlled substance: 7:33 p.m., 3400 block of Winchester Boulevard. Two people lost consciousness inside the car. One of them was found to have been driving under the influence of depressants. A search of the suspect and his vehicle revealed fentanyl and suspected drug paraphernalia.
Retail theft, robbery: At 6 p.m., in the 500 block of East Hamilton Avenue. Four suspects entered the store and worked together to steal items. One of the suspects confronted threatened to beat him if he intervened. The loss was perfume, which cost him $40.
March 13th
Robbery: 1:07 a.m., 2400 block of Winchester Boulevard. Someone broke the front glass of the business and stole about $100 in cash.
Possession of a controlled substance: 9:22 a.m., 100 block of East Campbell Avenue. The man was in possession of multiple types of controlled substances and had lost property.
Arson: 5:43 a.m., 2600 block of Winchester Boulevard. The man entered a store with people inside and intentionally started a fire, damaging property. He was found with drug paraphernalia.
Robbery: At 4 p.m., in the 300 block of Virginia Avenue. Someone broke into a construction site and stole $10,000 worth of tools.
March 14th
Theft: 10 a.m., 1900 block of South Bascom Avenue. The fired employees later returned business assets, including credit cards. They admitted that they had “erroneously” used the company's credit card for personal benefit after being fired.
Robbery, battery: 10:15 a.m., 1200 block of Camden Avenue. The suspect entered the unlocked, partially opened hotel room without the victim's permission. The suspect approached another victim, punched him once or twice in the nose, and fled the scene. The victim suffered visible injuries, possibly breaking his nose.
Petit theft: Occurred in the 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue at 6:25 p.m. Someone shoplifted two vinyl records.
Vandalism: At 4 p.m., in the 600 block of East Campbell Avenue.Someone destroyed Campbell's bathroom.
March 15th
Vandalism: South Winchester Boulevard and East Latimer Avenue, 5:22 p.m. Officers responded to multiple reports of someone spray painting multiple buildings and street signs. The suspect fled before officers arrived.
Robbery: At 4:06 p.m., in the 2500 block of Winchester Boulevard. A woman stole items from the facility and pushed and kicked two victims.
Petit theft: Occurred in the 200 block of Moline Drive at 10 p.m. Someone broke into an unlocked vehicle and stole a wallet and headphones.
March 16th
Battery: 4:30 a.m., 300 block of Budd Avenue. The suspect physically struck the victim during the argument. The suspect and victim had been dating for about six years.
DUI, possession of paraphernalia: At 12:51 p.m., at David Street and North Central Avenue. A man was driving a car when he collided with an object.He had last used fentanyl the previous day and was exhibiting objective signs and symptoms of being under the influence.
Battery: 9:36 p.m., 200 block of East Rincon Avenue. The suspect punched the victim twice in the face.
Resisting arrest: 8:50 p.m., 600 block of Louise Court. A man was standing in a resident's driveway. He got into his car and when traffic enforcement attempted to stop him, he did not yield to the emergency lights and sirens. He parked his car in front of his house, jumped over the backyard fence and climbed onto the roof. A records check revealed he had an outstanding warrant.
March 17th
Unusual Activity: 12:09 a.m., 1000 block of South Bascom Avenue. A man was in the driveway, drunk and screaming at cars.
Petty theft, possession of paraphernalia: 11:25 a.m., 2000 block of Winchester Boulevard. The man shoplifted from two stores. When contacted, he was found to be in possession of stolen property, drug paraphernalia, and identification that did not belong to him.
