There's nothing like the Danes!
Apollo, a black Great Dane currently at Broken Tail Rescue, is between 1 and 2 years old. He weighs about 70 pounds, but he is still growing. This big boy is currently working on his manners, including potty training, but he is making progress every day. Apollo needs a kind and caring owner who understands the complexities and sensitivities of the Dane.
Named after the sun god in Greek mythology, he has a cheerful disposition, especially towards women. He is very bright and listens to instructions. And he, unlike the Greek gods, is eager to please the humans around him.
Apollo requires about two hours of exercise each day. Apollo will be very happy if you have a fenced garden. He also loves his canine friends and he likes to be with social helpers and family members. I can vouch for the loveliness of this breed. My father had many Great Danes in his life. They were certainly dignified, but also kind and loyal. And if you can make space for them on your couch, you've made a friend for life.
