ST. LOUIS (AP) — A St. Louis man who gained notoriety after pointing a gun at social justice demonstrators marching in front of his home is seeking to have that misdemeanor expunged from his record. Multiple media outlets in St. Louis reported that Mark McCloskey filed a petition with a local judge this week seeking to have his conviction vacated. McCloskey and his wife said they felt threatened by protesters who passed by their home in June 2020. They were on their way to a demonstration in front of the mayor's home. McCloskey pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of fourth-degree assault and was fined $750. Republican Gov. Mike Parson pardoned McCloskey in 2021.
JetBlue tells Spirit Airlines it may terminate a $3.8 billion acquisition proposal that has been challenged by the U.S.
NEW YORK (AP) – JetBlue Airways said it could scrap its planned acquisition of low-cost airline Spirit Airlines as early as this weekend, sending Spirit shares lower. Spirit says it sees no reason to terminate the contract. The airline said it plans to appeal a federal judge's ruling that blocked JetBlue's $3.8 billion bid to buy Spirit. But on Friday, JetBlue said in a regulatory filing that the merger could be called off because the airlines may not meet certain conditions by deadlines set in the 2022 agreement. Ta. JetBlue said it could terminate its contract with Spirit as early as Sunday.

LOS ANGELES (AP) – George Carlin's estate has filed a lawsuit over a fake one-hour comedy special that allegedly used artificial intelligence to recreate the late stand-up comic's style and material. The lawsuit, filed Thursday in federal court in Los Angeles, asks a judge to force Dudesy, the podcast company behind the project, to immediately halt the project. The lawsuit says the defendants are infringing on Carlin's image rights and the copyrights in her work, and also seeks unspecified damages. The opening narration of the audio special states that the AI engine created this work by listening to Carlin's 50 years of work, who passed away in 2008.

LONDON (AP) – Queen Camilla says King Charles III is recovering well after undergoing “corrective surgery” for an enlarged prostate. Buckingham Palace announced that the 75-year-old monarch was admitted to a London clinic and his daughter-in-law, the Princess of Wales, was recovering from abdominal surgery. The King, who entered the hospital with Camilla on Friday, visited Duchess Kate at the clinic after arriving. Charles was diagnosed with the benign disease on January 17 after experiencing undisclosed symptoms. He was urged to cancel his engagement and rest ahead of the surgery. It was finished by Friday afternoon.
Tesla recalls approximately 200,000 vehicles due to software defect that could cause rearview cameras to go dark
Tesla is recalling about 200,000 vehicles in the U.S. because rearview cameras may not display images. The recall applies to some 2023 models Y, S, and X. All vehicles are equipped with “fully autonomous driving'' computer 4.0. The company said in a document released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that a software instability could prevent camera images from displaying when the Tesla is reversing. Safety officials say the lack of images could increase the risk of a crash. Tesla says it is not aware of any accidents or injuries. The document states that this issue was fixed with an online software update. Owners will be notified in writing starting March 22nd. Even with a “fully autonomous” system, Teslas cannot drive themselves.
Former WWE employee files sexual abuse lawsuit against company and Vince McMahon
A former WWE employee has filed a federal lawsuit accusing executive Vince McMahon and another former executive of gross sexual misconduct. TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. (AP) – A 350-pound black bear that was lured into a tree in a northern Michigan area in May has died several months later. Officials said the bear was legally killed by a hunter in September. Some Traverse City residents are saddened to hear the news. After Ashley Walter sedated and relocated the bear last May, she brought out a mattress that provided the bear with a soft landing. Walter said he hoped the bear could live “peacefully” in the forest.
Man arrested in front of Taylor Swift's New York home, held without bail for violating protection order
NEW YORK (AP) – A Seattle man who police say stalked and harassed Taylor Swift was arrested multiple times in recent days outside the pop star's home in Manhattan's Tribeca neighborhood and released on bail. He was ordered to be held without charge. David Crowe was charged Thursday in Manhattan Criminal Court with a misdemeanor charge of second-degree criminal contempt. The 33-year-old man was also ordered to undergo a psychiatric examination. Prosecutors said Crowe violated a protective order issued Wednesday that ordered her to stay away from Swift and his home. An attorney for Crowe's public defender's office did not respond to an email seeking comment Thursday.

Coward and Brooks, along with their Chihuahua and pet squirrel, were killed. Coward had a small but memorable role in John Boorman's 1972 classic Deliverance. The film focuses on a group of businessmen canoeing in Georgia, and their adventure turns into an outback nightmare when they are attacked by local mountain men.
