George Santos sues late-night show host Jimmy Kimmel for tricking him into making a mocking video
NEW YORK (AP) — Former U.S. Rep. George Santos has filed a lawsuit against late-night show host Jimmy Kimmel. Santos said Kimmel tricked him into making a video on the Cameo app that was used on air to mock the disgraced New York Republican. The complaint alleges that Mr. Kimmel took advantage of Mr. Santos' “outgoing personality” and misrepresented himself in order to induce Mr. Santos to create a personalized video mocking him. These videos were used in a segment on Kimmel's show called “Will Santos Say It?” A Disney representative listed as a media contact for Kimmel's show did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment Saturday. Mr. Santos was expelled from the House of Representatives last year. He has pleaded not guilty to numerous criminal charges.

GREENVILLE, N.C. NCAA spokesman Greg Johnson said the NCAA does not track those types of records. Bird took a first-pitch strike, got on base with four fastballs, and was hit by a pinch runner.
I'm back!Paul McCartney's stolen bass has been discovered and returned to the Beatles after more than 50 years
LONDON (AP) — The bass guitar stolen from Paul McCartney more than 50 years ago has been recovered and returned to the Beatles. A woman from England's south coast came forward after word spread last year about the search for a missing 1961 Hefner bass violin. McCartney's website said Thursday that the instrument had been authenticated by the manufacturer and that McCartney was deeply grateful to those who helped him find it. This bass was stolen from a roadie's van in London in 1972 and sold to a pub landlord. Scott Jones, a journalist who helped with the search, said the deceased homeowner's daughter-in-law came forward to return the instrument.
World War II Memorials Not all men were men. Finally, a female member is in the spotlight
DALLAS (AP) – After World War II, a team of U.S. Army art experts set out to discover and return millions of works stolen by the Nazis. They were known as monument men, but they also included women. In recent years, female members have been in the spotlight. The Dallas-based foundation that honors the group has updated its name to honor their contributions and highlighted their work in a new exhibit at the National Museum in New Orleans. For the first time, the foundation will publish in English one of the women's memoirs about her spying for the Nazis.
The amount of asteroid debris returned from the spacecraft was twice as large, according to NASA's final tally.
CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) — NASA has finally counted all the asteroid samples returned from the spacecraft last fall. And that's twice the rubble goal. NASA reported Thursday that the Osiris-Rex spacecraft collected 121 grams of dust and pebbles from the asteroid Bennu. This is equivalent to just over half a cup, making it the largest amount of space harvested from beyond the moon in history. It took NASA longer than expected to pry the sample container open because the clasp was stuck. The carbon-rich black sample is stored in a special controlled laboratory at the Johnson Space Center in Houston. The spacecraft is currently on its way to another space rock, but it won't stop for samples.
NBA champion and 'Survivor' contestant Scott Pollard is doing well after heart transplant, wife says
NBA champion and “Survivor” contestant Scott Pollard “woke up feeling great” the day after his heart transplant, according to his wife. Dawn Pollard said on social media Friday that her new heart that her husband received was a perfect fit for his 6-foot-11, 260-pound body. On Saturday, she wrote, his breathing tube was removed and Pollard was telling jokes and singing. Scott Pollard celebrated his 49th birthday on Monday. Pollard needed a transplant because of a genetic condition likely caused by the virus he contracted in 2021. He was admitted to the intensive care unit at Vanderbilt University Medical Center on February 7th.
Cambodia installs hundreds of wildlife cameras to restore tiger population
PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (AP) – Cambodia has begun installing hundreds of surveillance cameras and plans to import four tigers from India as part of a plan to restore its tiger population. Tigers were declared “functionally extinct” in Cambodia in 2016, and the last tiger was discovered in 2007 by camera traps (hidden cameras activated by the animal's movements). Cambodia's Ministry of Environment has announced that it plans to install cameras every kilometer to monitor wild animals, especially animals preyed on by tigers such as deer and wild boars. By the end of the year, four tigers will be sent from India and settled in a reserve within the wildlife sanctuary.
