Publishers oppose these proposals, saying they would compromise their intellectual property rights.

Emma Stone won, Lily Gladstone didn't lose
LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Academy Awards were full of certainties, long-awaited anointings and easy predictions. This will bring even more focus to the category that is most difficult to call Best Actress. Emma Stone's victory over Lily Gladstone was a difficult result to define. It wasn't exactly an upset. Stone's performance was similarly well received, but too good to be called that. And it was still painful, especially for Native Americans watching across the country. Gladstone would have been the first Native American to win an Oscar. But it was Gladstone's defeat that could not be called that. Throughout her awards season, Gladstone perfectly conveyed the hopes and dreams of her people with her rare grace.
