American Homestar Corporation, a leader in factory-built housing headquartered in suburban Houston, announced a new venture to manufacture “tiny houses” from its Oak Creek Homes subsidiary in Fort Worth.
AHC said the Fort Worth facility “has undergone significant investment to enhance production capacity and expand its offering, which now includes small homes.”
Oak Creek Homes has secured permits to build tiny homes and plans to build them to ANSI standards to meet the “evolving needs” of its customers, AHC said.
“We are excited to introduce tiny houses to our lineup,” says the COO. Dwayne Teeter said in a statement. “This marks a major milestone in our mission to provide affordable, high-quality housing solutions that meet the diverse needs of our customers in today's ever-changing housing market. ”
'Bigger, safer and heavier' than traditional tiny houses
The Park Cottage Tiny Home at Oak Creek was designed with outdoor enthusiasts in mind, with a structure that is “larger, safer, and heavier than traditional tiny houses,” according to the company. Blending contemporary design with the 'tranquility of nature', we aim to provide comfort and enjoyment for both campers and 'glampers', whether in the woods or in the wilderness .
Tiny houses, also known as park model RVs, are actually minihouses on wheels, but unlike RVs or mobile homes, they are most often used for long-term residence in a chosen location. Oak Creek says the Park Cottage model offers “the perfect blend of outdoor adventure and cozy interior ambiance.”
Oak Creek Homes' Fort Worth facility is 'one of a kind' texasAHC says it is a multi-license “based manufacturing facility” and provides homes and buildings built to the most extensive building codes.
American Homestar was founded in 1971 and says it has more than 50 years of “pioneering innovation.”
