Actor Ronit Roy on Sunday night accused Swiggy of “almost killing” one of his X delivery boys. When Roy got up to the platform, he mentioned that the delivery man was driving on the wrong side of the road on an electric moped.
“@Swiggy I almost killed one of your riders. Riding instruction is definitely needed. Just because you're riding a small electric moped doesn't mean you're going to start on the wrong side of the road into oncoming traffic. No. But then, do you even care about their lives or are you just going about business as usual?'' the actor wrote to X.
Take a look at the post:
In response to his post, the food delivery platform asked the actor to share details about the incident. “Hello Ronit, we expect our delivery partners to follow all traffic rules and have noted this for you to consider. Please share details where possible to take necessary action. Please, Luv,” Swiggy said.
Other netizens also commented on the post, with some pointing out the need for better driving sense. “Is it Swiggy's fault? Isn't it basic civic sense not to drive the wrong way?” they wrote.

Ronit Roy is yet to respond to Swiggy's response. A similar incident came to light in January last year, when a 24-year-old Swiggy delivery worker was allegedly hit by a car and dragged for 500 meters to his death in Noida's Sector 14.
Meanwhile, Ronit Roy recently made headlines after renewing his marriage vows with wife Neelam Bose Roy on their 20th wedding anniversary. The couple remarried at a temple in Goa. On the professional front, the actor was last seen in Sumendra Padhi's 'Fari'.
The actor rose to instant fame in 1992 with his debut film 'Jaan Tere Naam'. However, he faced many failures and gained popularity with the TV show 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay' and the critically acclaimed film 'Udaan'.
