Last fall, I reviewed Rabbit Air's A3 air purifier. I found it to be effective at keeping out wildfire smoke and construction dust, which was a problem in my home at the time. The smoke may have gone away in the winter, but the ongoing renovations certainly have not done away with the dust. And with the windows closed due to the low temperatures, all the dust was trapped inside the house. No matter how much plastic sheeting you put up, there is no way to prevent fine drywall dust from entering your home. But I kept his Rabbit Air A3 running on the main floor and it continued to do a great job of removing dust from the air. I had to vacuum the charcoal filter multiple times, which only proves how effectively the A3 works.
You can read my full review here, but there are two aspects of the Rabbit Air A3 that I didn't really touch on in the first round that are worth mentioning.
Wall-mountable
Rabbit Air A3 is a stylish and modern looking air purifier. My review unit was equipped with an available custom art panel, but only the glowing LED lighting (which can be controlled or turned off by the user) indicates it's a high-tech device.
Even better, Rabbit Air has cleverly designed the A3 to be easily hung on the wall. A wall mounting bracket is included in the box and installation takes a few minutes. At only 8.4 inches deep, the wall-mounted A3 can provide all the benefits of a high-performance air purifier with a coverage area of 1,070 square feet without taking up any floor space. The purifier works perfectly when placed on the floor, but wall-mounting is also a good option.
Effective in fighting pet allergies
The Rabbit Air A3 offered two big potential wins for my brother and his multi-generational family, so they had a chance to test one out. Firstly, since his daughter and new baby lived in the house, it was a welcome feature to have the air purifier mounted on the wall so it wouldn't be accidentally pulled.
But the main reason they wanted to try this was pet allergies. His daughter's husband has severe allergies, including an allergy to dogs. Three dogs live in her home, including a long-haired golden retriever. The combination caused him to have difficulty breathing and sneeze so much that he had to isolate himself in the basement. The baby was also showing signs of allergies to things around the house and had been wheezing for several weeks after she brought him home from the hospital.
They chose a pet allergy filter (all Rabbit Air A3 air purifiers are equipped with a 6-stage BioGS HEPA filter with activated carbon deodorizing filter, but the company also offers customization with special filter packs) Masu). The results exceeded expectations. There were reports that the baby's wheezing stopped after installing the air purifier. Especially in the basement where Rabbit Air was located, my dog allergy symptoms were reduced. They also noted that the A3 was very effective at making moldy basement air smell fresh.
Rabbit Air A3 Air Purifier Recommendations
The bottom line? We already recommended the Rabbit Air A3 air purifier in our first review. It proved effective in combating wildfire smoke and construction dust in my home, brought style to a functional device, and the app was intuitive. Add long life (2 years with 12 hours of daily use) and customized filter packs to the mix and your images will improve even more. Considering how well it performs against pet-induced allergies and how easy it is to mount on the wall (which isn't even an option on most air purifiers, let alone one that covers the entire floor). , the Rabbit Air A3 becomes an even more attractive option if: I'm buying a new air purifier.
Disclosure: Rabbit Air provided the A3 air purifier for evaluation purposes but was not involved in this review.
