The head of a major financial services company was removed from an international flight departing from India for making rude comments to a flight attendant. But after she apologized, the airline agreed to put the passenger on the next available flight. According to reports, the executive boarded a business class flight on Air India's Delhi-London flight on March 5.
At that time, her bad attitude towards the flight attendants was reported to the captain as some passengers also felt that she was rude. The captain then decided not to take off with the passengers on board, and the passengers were deplaned.
According to the Times of India, an Air India spokesperson said, “We are aware of the accident on flight AI-161 on March 5, 2024. After an argument with him, he deplaned on the advice of the captain.” AI prioritizes the safety and security of all passengers and crew and strictly adheres to the regulations governing it. ”
“Flight AI-161 departed with a delay of approximately one hour after disembarking. The disembarked passenger was traveling for unavoidable reasons and we have accommodated him on a subsequent flight in accordance with our written assurances. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused.The delay caused inconvenience to other passengers,'' the spokesperson added.
After she was taken off the plane, executives asked the airline that it was “very important” that she be in London. A source told the magazine: “She gave us assurances about her actions, so we put her on the next flight to London. We don't want to inconvenience anyone, but we're sorry for the inconvenience.” We will never tolerate unruly behavior on our flights. The passengers then boarded the next flight to London.
