PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Did you know you can adopt a pet for just $10? No, we're not talking about a goldfish or two from a pet store.
From Monday, ACCT Philadelphia They will be offering $10 adoption for dogs weighing 40 pounds or more. Rather than buying the furry friend you've been wanting to add to your life, now is the perfect time to adopt.
This week's special adoption event is animal shelter We are redoing some of our kennel areas to reduce the spread of disease among our pets.
This construction will temporarily make 14 large, isolated kennels unavailable, leaving staff with very limited options for where to house their dogs during renovations. ACCT Philly currently has more than 100 dogs up for adoption and is taking in 20 to 25 new dogs each day, so the facility is running out of space.
ACCT Philadelphia staff said it's a good thing the construction schedule has been brought forward, but it also means they have less time to prepare.
Anyone looking to add love to their lives by giving a forever home to a dog can check out the dogs available for adoption for $10 online or visit Felton this week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can go to ACCT Philly in the building.
The best part is that ACCT Philly makes adoption easy for pet parents. All adopted dogs are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before going home with their new man's best friend.
If you're interested in becoming a pet parent before jumping into adoption, this shelter has a foster care program.
