This week's Pet of the Week winner is Buddy, affectionately nicknamed “Busy Buddy” by his owner, Mary Spain. She and her buddy live in Spain and her husband in Illinois.
Buddy, adopted in 2021, is full of personality and has some truly hilarious and unusual habits. But the most notable thing for owners is how they use toilet paper.
“His toilet was in the downstairs bathroom, and of course Buddy was always watching over there,” Spain said. newsweek. “First he was unrolling the toilet paper from the holder – no, it didn't matter which direction the roll was in – and dragging the toilet paper to his box.”
Buddy was having a hard time keeping track of the paper as he tried his best to unwrap it every chance he got, so I gave him his own little box of disassembled toilet paper. But he wasn't happy with it.
“I ended up taping my own roller right on top of the box,” the owner said. That's right, he uses it a lot and uses paper to cover the toilet.
Buddy, with his unique personality, is a true presence in his owner's life, and his owner loves him dearly.
“There's always something new going on in his head, and it's scary,” Spain laughed. “He also liked watching westerns and movies with tanks in them, and for some reason he just kept staring at them.” Wuthering Heights Over 30 minutes. ”

This week's first finalist is Chewie, a 4-year-old cat who lives with his owner Linda M. in Virginia.
“She's a very sweet and loving kitten,” Linda said. newsweek. “She meows and begs for a treat before I'm fully awake.”
Chewie was adopted by Linda and her granddaughter and now loves playing with toys by throwing them in the air.
“I love how Chewie always brightens our day,” Linda said.
This week's next finalist is Lucy, a Shih Tzu/Yorkshire Terrier mix who lives in Buffalo, New York with her owner, Kelly Royce.
“She loves barking at squirrels, meeting new people, especially children, investing in new places, and resting on my lap while I read a book,” Lois said. Told. newsweek.
With a lively attitude and a curious nature, Lucy often showers her owners with lots of affection.
“She's a good listener, but she can only be patient for so long, otherwise she wants what she wants when she wants it,” Lois said.
Last but not least this week is Squeaky the Pig and Lil Bubba the Parrot.
These unusual “best friends” live with their owner Joseph Bogart in Texas and are very interested in each other.
Parrot Baba often lands while Squeaky is sleeping or stops by to say hello.
“My favorite thing about Squeaky is that if you run with him, he loves going to the backyard and running,” Bogart said. newsweek.
“In the evening when the sun goes down, Baba gets talkative,” Bogart said. “They love to be friends.”
