Politics in Andhra Pradesh took a drastic turn today with the emergence of YS Sharmila. She is the new president of the APCC and in her first assignment criticized the Jagan government for the lack of development of AP. She repeatedly referred to Jagan as 'Jagan Lady', as Jagan's fierce political rivals Chandra Babu and Pawan Kalyan always did.
YCP executives and social media advocacy groups were dissatisfied with Sharmila's verbal attack and began retaliating against her through a social media campaign.
YCP's social media department started trending the hashtag “#MorusupalliSharmila” on Twitter. This is to project Sharmila as an outsider in her own right, more precisely as the wife of Telangana-born brother Anil Kumar, whose first name is Morsupari.
The YCP side is irritated that Sharmila is retaliating by calling Jagan an enemy and projecting her as an outsider. They have shared a video of Sharmila's speech in Telangana before the elections and said that Sharmila has no connection with the AP and is Telangana's daughter-in-law. They point out that Morsupari Sharmila is a Telangana woman and she has no say in the AP.
This was just the beginning of the Jagan vs Sharmila fight in the Associated Press, which began on a fiery note with both sides firing at each other.
