Hello, I'm Dylan Gibbons, Community Care Advocate at Spring Health. My role? Provide comprehensive support to employees dealing with life's curveballs. Let me introduce you to my first year in this important role.
The first three months: early challenges and growth
Imagine trying to drink water from a fire hydrant. That was her first 3 months. Creating a handbook, learning Salesforce, and forming a role was a whirlwind. It felt like I was building a plane while flying it, and that's the beauty of startup life. My team and I laid the groundwork, created workflows, and built new customer relationships. What is your first challenge? They were also fundamental growth moments.
Months 4 to 6: Build momentum
Once the initial challenges were resolved, we gained momentum over the next few months. Improved workflow meant more meaningful engagement with customers and their employees. The past few months have brought continued growth and insight. It's incredible how much a team can accomplish when everyone is on the same page and working toward the same goal.
Background and transferable skills
We didn't land here overnight. I She graduated with a Master's degree in Social Work in 2020. What was my journey? It included supporting crime victims, getting into the nitty-gritty of community mental health, and even community organizing. These experiences provided him with important skills in his first year at Spring Health, including problem-solving, adaptability, time management, collaboration, and relationship building. Every piece of the puzzle has a place, and unexpected experiences are often the most valuable.
role compensation
What is the most challenging part? Understand the feelings of employees who are in trouble. It is an honor to be part of the conversation about eviction, food insecurity, and economic hardship. I learned that people want more than just a solution. They want to be heard and seen. I enjoy working with the talented team at Spring Health. We are committed to creating the best solutions. It's more than just a job. It's a mission.
Impactful support: personal stories
Let me tell you a story. One employee was going through a difficult time, including grief, family issues, and financial hardship. At times like these, our role is more than just completing tasks. It's about being human. I prioritized listening and creating a safe space. Employees found it invaluable. These relationships are what make this role so meaningful.
“Every meeting with our employees is an opportunity to let them know that challenges will always exist, but that Spring is happy to help.”
