MCLENNAN COUNTY, Texas (FOX 44) – Texas Tech University and McLennan Community College have announced a new type of academic collaboration.
The Highlander to Red Raider program streamlines the transfer function for students seeking admission to Texas Tech University from the Waco campus. The two universities will hold a program signing ceremony Thursday at 3 p.m. at MCC's LTC Rotunda, 1400 College Drive in Waco.
This program offers participating students a unique opportunity to earn an associate's degree at MCC and secure conditional admission to Texas Tech University if they meet all program requirements. Texas Tech University says this initiative is a testament to both universities' commitment to providing a seamless transition for students seeking to advance their education.
Texas Tech University also said the initiative aligns with its commitment to accessibility and MCC's mission to help students achieve their educational goals. This program reflects a shared vision to expand higher education opportunities and promote academic success for Texas students.
