MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) – A female employee of a Wisconsin title loan company was taken to the hospital after being allegedly punched and injured by a man who was demanding money before taking off in his car.
According to the Madison Police Department, just before 1 p.m. on January 16, officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of East Washington Avenue in response to a report of an armed robbery in Madison.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a man had entered the store to discuss financing. When the female employee tried to help the man, the man pulled out a knife and demanded money.
In this incident, the man reportedly assaulted the female employee by hitting her and was taken to the hospital. Her condition is unknown at this time.
The suspect stole a female employee's car before leaving for work, and authorities found it unoccupied in a parking lot on East Carstens Drive around 3 p.m.
Efforts by the K-12 team to track down the suspect were unsuccessful, and the man remains at large.
