Doja (A282148) is looking for a second chance after thinking she had previously found a home, but unfortunately her previous owner went through a major change in her life and she ended up being returned to the shelter and is never here again. I'm back. She has experience with couch cuddles, she is house trained and knows how to sit, how to sit and walk with her “loose heels” and she is a friendly dog. This cute brindle German Shepherd mix weighs 64.60 pounds and she loves and needs routine in her daily life, but here at the shelter she is not at home. Things look different. Doja is 3 years old and ready to spend the rest of her life with her forever family, but her forever won't be here soon as it's been 90 days since she returned to the shelter. I can't go back. All adoptions include spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccines, and microchip. Business hours are Monday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Access Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to noon is by appointment only.

This sweet boy (A270942) is ready for his forever home. I was so excited to play with my older child in the garden the other day. And I did it very well. He is good at walking on a leash, is a very sweet, food-oriented guy, and is housebroken. He knows his feet and is working on learning how to rotate. He even got to play with a small female dog while he was here and was very playful with her. This 1 year 11 month old black lab mix is ready for his forever home and family. He let his owner go due to major changes in his life, but now he finds himself here and there looking again. This cute boy is 58.80 pounds of pure cuteness!! Those ears! This is a scary place to have to go back to (as he was originally adopted from us) and he is ready to be found by a family!! We will meet other dogs and children before adoption. This cute girl is Gladys (A290122) and was spotted hanging out around the tennis courts at a local park. A concerned citizen knew that Gladys was confused about her whole “love” thing and that the tennis court was not the place she was going to find the love she was looking for. So she contacted our girlfriend's ACO and asked them to take her to a safe location away from the busy road. Gladys is now in the right place to continue searching for her love. We are rallying to help her find her forever family. Gladys is estimated to be 2 years old and this 44.70 pound Setter Retriever mix is so sweet that we know we'll find her perfect match no matter how we cut her up while she's here. Masu. Want to help but not ready to hire? How about volunteering? We are looking for long-term volunteers who are willing to give of their time, ideally every week, but for example…forever. Whether you're looking for short-term or fixed-time commitments for school service, community service projects, or special interests, we'd love to hear from you. If you only need short-term or limited time, our volunteer program may not be suitable for you, but we have other options available. We can say this with certainty… ICAS volunteers are our best people and we could not do what we do without them.
This cutie is Eva (A268381). She came here as a result of major changes in her life that her previous owner went through and was no longer physically able to care for Eva properly. Eva is home broken, adorable, crate trained, adorable, loves kids, adorable, and has never been with a cat. Did she say she's adorable? According to her original owner, this cute pup doesn't always get along well with other female dogs, and of course we always recommend meeting and greeting other dogs and children before adoption. . She is 6 years old and has lived with her previous owner for the past 5 years, but hopes to find her forever family soon. The Books & Buddies reading program is currently underway. No reservation required. Viewing hours are from noon to 5 p.m. on weekdays and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. Bring a book or borrow one from the shelter and sit in a chair.

This sweet face belongs to Nova (A288414)…and she's adorable! This beautiful 1 year 3 month old black Staffordshire mix is friendly with children and other dogs. is known and we always recommend meeting and greeting both dogs before adoption. She needs consistency and training (refresher) about her home being broken. It's unclear if she was previously crate trained, but her friends noticed that she didn't seem to be with them. She is looking for her family to be patient and consistent with her and not give up on her. We know they are there and we know they will find each other. If you think you can provide a forever home for this adorable, beautiful 53.40 pound girl, come see us in person!

This boy (A289395) seems to have captured the heart of Animal Care Tech Skylar. That smile! ! ! And, coincidentally, Flounders have the biggest hearts! And this big-hearted cutie (that smile!!!) never lets her size stop her from becoming a pet dog. there is no. And of course, this 2-year-old pup has to stop and give you the biggest hugs during walks to let you know how grateful he is to be able to get out of his kennel. He's a very kind boy! And he's been here for 54 days!! This 57 pound sweetheart is still here and ready to head to his forever home! For more information, please come directly to the evacuation center. Fostering is a great way to get animals out of the shelter and a great opportunity to get them in front of potential adopters they may not meet while at the shelter.

It's not the best photo, but it definitely shows how cute Goose (A290418) is. Meet Goose the dog! He came to us when he was found behind a crowded store and was brought here to make sure he was safe. He had injuries to his ear and the right side of his neck, but he received treatment while here and is recovering well. Goose has done a great job with all his treatments and tests!! He deserves to receive dog suckers!!! Lots of them! This 2-year-old, 66-pound German Shorthaired Pointer mix is such a good boy that even after everything he's been through, he's still a sweetheart! Now he has found his forever family and heals his heart who knows how long he has been alone. We always recommend meeting and greeting other dogs and children before adoption. Shelters do not want foster parents to have to provide the basic care supplies needed to care for their animals. To donate, the shelter's address is 430 Bristol Drive, Statesville.
When it comes to dry kitten food sizes, 3.15 pound or 6.3 pound bags are the easiest for foster parents to handle.
Animal Services also hosts a drive-thru rabies clinic on the second Tuesday of each month from 6 to 7 p.m. The cost is $5, cash only.
Although the clinic will not be held in April, Animal Control will partner with the rescue ranch located at 1424 Turnersburg Highway to host a free rabies clinic on April 20th from 10 a.m. to noon. The one-year vaccine will be available while supplies last. Please note that all cats must be in a carrier and limit him to only one cat per carrier. There is no limit to the number of vaccinations a family member or pet owner can receive at our clinic, but please note that vaccinations will be given while supplies last.
