Mangilao, Guam (UOG) — Dive into the vibrant world of Micronesian culture at the annual Micronesian Culture and Traditions Day event held at the University of Guam Calbo Field House on April 20 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.
The event, hosted by students from the UOG Residence Halls Governing Council, is a celebration and exploration of Micronesian culture and an expression of unity through storytelling, performance, and food.
This event will feature student organizations representing all of Micronesia, and will feature dance performances, cultural exhibits, and more that will showcase what makes Micronesian culture unique.
Featured organizations include:

• Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands Student Organization
• Republic of Palau Student Group
• Yap State Student Organization
• Chuuk State Student Organization
• Pompeii Student Organization
• Kosrae Student Organization
• Iakwe Club
“We are thrilled to share the rich tapestry of culture and tradition celebrated at this special event,” said Jarvis Farrow, a UOG student and chair of the Residence Hall Management Council. “Through our Micronesian Culture and Traditions Day events, we aim to foster a sense of unity and purpose and enable communities to work together toward common goals.”
