Philadelphia's $819 million VC quarter: The new normal?
The Philadelphia region got off to a strong start to the year for venture capital deals. Companies in Philadelphia and its surrounding areas raised $819 million in 92 deals in the first quarter of 2024, according to the latest Venture Monitor report, published quarterly by PitchBook and the National Venture Capital Association.
Total funding for the quarter represented an improvement from the previous quarter's $463 million with a similar number of deals.
