WEST FARGO — A Fargo engineer has found success with a new custom shed building business called SquareShed.
Beau Kaschmark opened in April last year. With the help of one part-time employee, he was able to build and install 60 sheds by Thanksgiving. He plans to build more projects this year.
“We are achieving a fast, efficient and good process,” Kashmak said in a recent interview with the Forum.
This process involves the customer detailing their ideas, meeting on site to discuss the layout and design, and constructing the shed on site.
“My goal is to grow the business and make it bigger,” Kashmak said. “Eventually, we want a big team to build sheds and expand.”
Kashmak has a background in mechanical engineering and real estate, and said he wanted to move into something a little more personal. His favorite part of his job is handing over the keys to new owners.
“They get so excited when they get the keys. First they always say they were surprised at how quickly it was assembled, and then they're excited to put all their stuff away,” he said. Ta.
