Like other cnidarians, organisms in this genus produce a spore called a cnidoblast. The most common species of this genus is Porpita porpita, more commonly known as the “blue button jellyfish.” These hydroids, which often wash up on Florida beaches, do not have a large sting. Beachgoers who encounter them often say that the stings, even if noticeable, are few and far between. ”
One user added, “That's amazing, how do you make it spawn??”, while another user said, “I thought this was another nail art like water nail art trend.”
